Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Nigerian dwarves are the smallest dairy goat recognized by the ADGA. (American Dairy Goat Association) While they may not have the capacity to produce the volume that the standard breeds can, they are able to produce a significantly large amount of butter fat and protein. This makes them ideal for cheese making, ice cream, soaps, and other dairy products. Their milk is often sweet and does not possess the "goaty" taste that does not appeal to some people. Our farm began with a few of these goats as pets, but we soon realized their production potential. We now are working to develop this breed of dairy goat for others to enjoy. Our stock is selected from lines that have exceptional milk records as well as good structure. In order to meet our breeding goals, we participate in milk test as well as linear appraisal.
