Herd sires are arguably the most important part of our breeding program, simply because they have the ability to pass on their good and bad qualities to multiple does, and therefore multiple offspring. We have selected our herd sires from genetic lines that consistently demonstrate the qualities we are looking to have in our herd. While we love the boys, we try and keep the number of breeding bucks to a minimum. We believe this helps our genetics to stay on course.

Sinai Thunder Han Solo *B

I am happy to add Sinai Thunder Han Solo to the buck pen. Mr. Solo's sire is Sinai Thunder Ash Hyssop dip and his dam is SG Sinai Thunder O Cassiopeia. His dam  "Cassie" is an accomplished milker and is sired by Cedar View Olivero.  Solo is a smaller buck but very well proportioned and very sharp. He should be a good addition to the breeding line up.

Alphah Casein: test pending

Redstone ST Estrella's Atlas *B

I am excited to add this new buck to our herd. In the winter of 2018 we had to say good bye to our main man "Hoodie". I am hoping Atlas will take up the role as herd sire. Atlas shares some ancestry with Hoodie, through DF Farms HD Barney Rubble  and Twin Creeks Icy Hot. I especially like that he shares ancestry with Redstone SF Dark Star, a goat I have been following for some time because of her impressive milk record. Atlas is a very friendly guy. The photos I have here don't do him justice. I am really impressed watching him on the move especially  with how he carries himself. He shares a bit of Hoodie's attitude.

** News FLASH ** let's hope the legacy continues. We may have lost Hoodie, but we hope to continue this line with Atlas.

DesertNanny BR Hoo Doo Ya Love +*B

We selected "Hoodie" as one of our herd sires as his dam, SGCH MCH DesertNanny Icy Blue Skyy 2*M 3*D AR, possessed the kind of milk record we would love to have develop in our herd. Hoodie's sire, +B DF Farms HD Barney Rubble +*S has repeatedly passed on outstanding structure throughout his offspring. Together, we thought this would make a wining combination. * Hoodie is no longer with us, he is collected

Sinai Thunder Hark The Herald *B

Here is our new herd sire. His dam SG Sinai Thunder AG Patience 2*M 2*DAR VEEV89. His Sire is Cedar View Oliveiro *B  VG88.5. There is milk on both sides of the pedigree and the animals all have impressive LA scores. I am hoping Mr. Hark is a great combination of these traits.

Linear Appraisal Score for 2018: V+V 87

I tested him for Alpha s1 Casein when I got him ad he was also a B/B.
