Sales Policy: This is just the bare bones of the sales policy. Reservations: If you are interested in a specific breeding, contact me and I can arrange reservations. I have decided that $50 down on a reservation is sufficient. I will save it for you and give you a refund if we can’t give the desired sex/breeding or it I can also work with you to find a similar breeding or compromise. I want to make a special note about bucks: In the event I decide to sell bucks and there is a buyer interested in a certain breeding, I will keep a buckling intact until 2 months. If the animal is not picked up at that time I reserve the right to band him. I have no desire to have more bucks around than I need! Please note: Most Bucks will be castrated.
I also reserve the right to retain any animal for our breeding program. Guarantee from me:
All goats will be free of disqualifying faults
I am happy to provide the health records of my animals when requested and will even give you my vet’s phone number if you want it. IF you are requesting something other than the standard tests that my vet recommends, I will have to request reimbursement.
I will disbud, give CD/T vaccine, tattoo, worm, and give coccidiosis treatment to animals I keep until weaning.
All animals on our farm are pulled from mom at birth and bottle fed with pasteurized milk. Since I test for Johnes right before our girls kid, I do not treat colostrum, I believe the benefits of colostrum out weigh any chance I may have of ruining it when I try to pasteurize or heat treat it.
Babies will be given colostrum only from their mothers. Once the doe is no longer producing colostrum, all milk given will be pasteurized.
If an emergency should develop we give artificial colostrum.
I will guarantee against defects with vet confirmation. Once the animal is off the farm, I can not guarantee its health.
Since we are a closed herd, we will not take an animal back once it’s been purchased and exposed to other animals.
Shipping: I will give a quote to the buyer about shipping and health certificates. I will confirm this with the buyer before the animal is considered reserved. The costs of shipping and health certificates are on the buyer. Bottle Babies: I am always looking to get our bottle babies off to their new farms as soon as possible, I will offer a negotiated discount for those that will pick up a reserved kid before it is weaned. ** I do expect goat kids to have left the farm by 2.5 months. If a reserved kid has not been picked up by that time, additional, prices will apply. If there is no response or negotiation, I will offer the kid for sale to a different buyer. In 2014 Breeding season: Price ranges from goats are going to be as follows (ballpark):
I plan on having does with registration range from $300-$500.
Bucks: $450. This is based on the special “hassle” buck kids can be, if you are interested in a buck this breeding season, contact me and I am ok with negotiating an agreement specific to the sale.
Wethers will be $75-$100. Please note, Wethers go fast.
