Two Step is the result of a line breeding on DesertNanny Hoo Doo Ya Love. Her sire is Breezy Farms Hoo's Ur Daddy, a (Hoodie/Wanda breeding,) and her dam is Breezy Farm's Dancing Nancy (Hoodie/ Babel Brook Acres BW Sunshine. Two Step was given a show cut for her debut in Portage in 2016 and we found she possess excellent dairy skin. She also possesses the same outstanding disposition that her mother and great grandma possess. I am looking forward to see how she freshens this year.
Update on Two Step: She freshened with ease 2017 with two very flashy does sired by Breezy Farms Call Me Al. I was very impressed by the hind leg set one of the doelings in particular and decided to retain her. This Doe turned out to be Breezy Farms Pig who had a very good run in the shows this year, even getting 6th in Nationals in her class. The down side, I didn't keep up as well as I should have with milking Two Step and she ended up with an uneven udder. I hope to do a better job next year in developing her milk record.
2018 Two Step: Well I am happy with her first Two Step's LA score. She has been increasing her production for 2018. Her udder is nice and even this freshening.
Where do I begin with Piggy? Well, Piggy was born to Breezy Farms Two Step, one of a set of twin does. Piggy's father is Breezy Farms Call Me AL. She is heavily line bred to Desert Nanny BR Hoo Doo Ya Love. When Piggy and her sister were born the first thing I noticed aside from the fact they were twin does was the escutcheon, she walked as if she had a mini basket ball between her legs. SCORE!. We took her to a show in West Salem and were fortunate enough to get her Jr. leg that week. Given our success and the location of the national show this year, I took her to the ADGA National Show in Madison where she placed 6th! Another interesting thing about Pig is that although her mom - Two Step, and her grandma Dancing Nancy had Alpha s1 Casein results of B/F, this little Piggy's Casein is A/B.
2018 update: Pig had her first freshening with 2 does. 2 does that are almost as big as she is! I retained one, Breezy Farm HH Proudst Monkey. Pig has a nice udder with few things I have to complain about, I look forward to future freshenings. She is a very small doe but appears to be a work horse.
When I received notice that this lady was on sale I decided to go for it. I have always been a fan of the Algedi farm goats, especially Drops of Jupiter. This doe also has the Rosasharn's "Honey line", another set of genetics that has been on my radar. I look forward to developing her milk record this year and having her appraised. 2018 Update: Moonpie freshened with 4 kids this year. She has been filling the milk pail and I am hoping that we can get her a well deserved milk star this year. She had some problems with mineral deficiency but after a little TLC her lovely red coat is back. LA Score: 2018: VEE+ 87
